About the P & C
Dear TSS Parents
- welcome!!!
The P & C provides an opportunity for all parents to have a say, take part in the direction of the school and positively contribute to the education your children receive.
We hope that you will start the year with enthusiasm and maintain it throughout the year by attending the monthly P & C meetings. Our aim is to keep them short!
We look forward to seeing you next Monday!
Meetings:
Our Parents & Citizens Association meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the staffroom.
This association is of vital importance to our school, not only for their fund-raising activities but also to assist and guide with school decision making.
The P&C has a number of sub-committees with various responsibilities.
All parents are encouraged to become registered members of the school P&C and this can be done simply by attending two consecutive P&C meetings.
Donations
Early in the year you will receive a notice of a scheme asking for a voluntary contribution of $50 per family. This money helps the P&C to provide equipment and resources for the school.
Generous response to this in the past has assisted Toowong State School to be a well-equipped school.
Uniform
Toowong State School has a uniform policy which is supported and encouraged by the school and the P&C.
Toowong State School uniforms are available from the tuckshop each
Tuesday between 8.30 and 10.00am during term.
If you are unable to come at this time, an alternative time can be arranged.
Please leave your name and number at the office or call the co-ordinator at home. (Jane Brinkley 3371 9923)
Some school uniform items, such as track pants, are not available at the P&C uniform shop. As they have no special school features they are best purchased from local stores.
