Classroom 31.08.09
Welcome back Mrs O and Pooch (and Zach by association!)! Thankfully most of our class are back on deck after a terrible round of August illness. We only have three weeks left of term, and, as usual, we are racing to the finish line. The Art Show is next Monday night, please come and see what the students have been working on.
Unfortunately, last week was our last dance lesson for the term. We would like to thank Tori for her amazing teaching (and leg kicks) and hope to see her back next term. This won't stop the kids from dancing their way home every Thursday. We will continue to rehearse our Thriller moves and study Michael Jackson theory.

Greetings all. As you may know, Mrs O and Miss Kelly have been away sick for much of the last three weeks. This is playing havoc with our timetable and class routine. The students have been very resilient with all the changes. These changes have also impacted our ability to get homework out. Please be patient with us! Hopefully this week will see a return to normalcy.
Thank you.
Miss Kelly and Mrs O.
Term 3. We have a huge term planned, as always! With a focus on Leonardo da Vinci and his machines, the students are becoming more observant, and developing a keen eye for perspective, design and invention.
Back by popular demand, Tori, our 'resident' dance teacher, will be exploring how the human body moves like a machine. The kids will be incorporating this and more theory into new dance steps and a whole new routine.
Library borrowing has changed, once again, to Friday. Please make sure your children brings a borrowing bag. We are aiming for a 100% borrowing rate this term.
The focus for You Can Do It this term is ORGANISATION. Please encourage the children to be like Oscar Organised, who manages his tasks, doing the important things first so he can enjoy his free time.
Mrs O looks over my shoulder as I type, so I have to talk about Pooch! Pooch, our travel buddy, will be visiting each of you this term. Please read the instructions on the inside cover of his journal, and let YOUR CHILD write a diary entry. They will be reading it to the class the following day, so it will be more authentic if they are reading their own writing.
Term 4 will see the year three students going to their first overnight camp. This statement is just to prepare all parents, as the idea often causes mild anxiety, for students and parents alike! Information will be sent out in August so you can be well prepared.
Have a great term.
